Livingroom Face Lift

For about the last 4 to 5 months I have been talking and wanting to paint my dining/living room area. I have had the colors that I liked pick out for sometime, though will admit was sort of nervous about one of the colors. This is probably why it took me so long to paint the room. We purchased new furniture for Christmas, and now it was time for a change. I over came my fears, bought the paint and completed the task at hand. These are before pictures of the room. I had removed everything from the walls and the valances I had up so this is why the room looks so bare. This first picture is looking in from the kitchen, and of course the second is at the other end of the room looking toward the kitchen. And now for the end results. What a difference a little paint can do for a room. I just loved the colors, was so afraid that the room would seem smaller, but it didn't. It made it cozier.
The dark color is called Firewood and the lighter is called potato skin. They both just seem to transform the room. I should have painted a long time ago.

I'm going to have to invest in a new dinning room set, but that's down the road a bit. I so want to do some more painting I just can't believe what a little color will do.
