Family Traits

Anyone who has sorted through the family's shoebox full of old photos have come across pictures that bring out different family traits. I have always thought that from the time my grandson Kalib started walking that he walks just like his Grandpa Steve. You see they both walk a little bull legged, like they've been in the saddle a little to long. I came across this old black and white photo of Steve when he was about 2 years old and it reminded me so much of Kalib. So I in turn had to try and get a photo of Kalib from behind. It's really funny how certain family trait are passed from one generation to the other. And this makes up who we are. It may be that we look like our mom or in my case my dad (I realized this when I lost my hair) :). We have someone in the family's nose, eyes, color of hair, look just like they did when we were little, sound like them, or just some mannerism that is carried through from generation to generation. This is what we leave behind, what makes a family, and carries on our heritage.

That is too cute! It really is amazing how we take on different traits. I have one picture of me where I realized I have my mom's arms and that I stand the same way she does. It's so amazing how we are made up of so many people!

Just one more thing...Nathan has completely different feet from the rest of us. We always wondered where he got them from. We still don't know who, but one day Shaelyn took her socks off, and she had the same feet (just without hair on them!) So, we at least know what side of the family they came from.

Love the pics, what a fun memory you'll always have of those two. So Sis, who do we have to thank for our thick full head of hair??? Is it Mom or Dad or Dad or Dad or Dad or Dad. I don't think any of them did us a favor. All I know is that one of my best family traits is having the same genes as you, so glad you're my sister. Hugs.
