Melting Moments?

I'm not so sure my daughter-in-law is going to like me telling about all her little "I just wasn't thinking moments". Kristina has more than once had the family laughing over one thing or another since she became part of the family. She is so much fun and a super sport about everything, and I just have to share a couple stories on her. Shortly after her and my son Chris were married she decided she was going to make some cookies for Chris before he got home from work. Not having a cookie sheet, she thought if she covered a plastic cutting board with aluminum foil this would reflect the heat and the cutting board would be okay. Needless to say it didn't and the cutting board melted, she tried to hide the evidence of her mistake in the garbage, but Chris found it when he came home. He's never let her live it down.
Now last night I was talking with her on the phone, when she admitted to me about another little mishap she had. Only to realize as soon as she told me and I mention posting it on my blog did she wish she wouldn't have said a word to me. But being the good sport that she is she has allowed me to share this story as well. She got a call from her neighbors that they were coming over for a visit, she's just getting home from work, and decided she needed to tidy up the kitchen before the neighbors stop in. There are some pans and a plastic strainer unwashed from the night before. Not having time to wash them she decides to hide them in the oven (something I'm sure we've all done, I know I have). Anyway neighbors visit and go home, now dinner needs to be prepared and tonight it's enchiladas. Dinner's prepared, time to preheat the oven, and uh oh more melted plastic. Need I say anymore!
Tina, we love you. And thanks for keeping us laughing!

Sounds like Tina needs to stay away from plastic. That's okay, I can't keep from breaking glasses, I'm notorious for that one.

That's funny! I love that she tried to hide the evidence of the cutting board accident! We all make silly mistakes now and then!
