When my grandson Cole comes over he often gets out the coloring books, scrap paper, markers if he can find them and the crayons.
Cole is 6 years old, and in kindergarten this year. So he is learning how to read and write. And doing quite well at it I might add.
Anyway he found a blank and empty envelope on my kitchen table and ask if he could have it. He wanted to write a note to put in it. I told him sure, and off he ran to write his note and place in the envelope. Little did I know that the note would be addressed to me. He returned 5 minutes later with his note and gave it to me. We
ll it's been quite awhile since I've gotten a note from a kindergartner, so I had to have Cole help me read this one. He then let me in on what his note said, it read, "I hope you get hair". It was all I could do to keep a straight face, but if the truth be known I did giggle over this. You see Cole over heard me telling his mom that now that my chemo is over I couldn't wait to get my hair back. This is a child's wish for his grandma, that she gets hair.....this note is priceless.

I hope you get hair too, but I love you no matter what's on your head. Love that Cole, he's truely a treasure.
That post gave me a good belly laugh this morning! Kids are so funny!
