We survived the day and a half trip to Oregon. What I mean by surviving, is this was a trip with two children ages 1 1/2 and 6, who don't understand time, nor mileage. So all we were asked by Cole was what time will we get there or how many more miles. All in all though the boys did pretty well and we made it. We spent a couple of days with my sister Karen, (enjoyed the visit sis). And then it was off to the Oregon Coast. The weather has been beautiful hope it stays this way all week. This a picture of the condo motel we are staying at. Our room is the room on the top floor at the right end.
We took Cole and Kalib down to the beach and let them play in the ocean. Cole has loved it,
and I'm not quite sure what Kalib thinks of it, considering the first wave he came in contact with knocked him off his little feet.
We took off this afternoon and headed down the coast. Stopping along the way and checking out the sites. The coast is just beautiful.

Steve and Ceresa sharing a father daughter moment.
We ended our day going to the Heceta Lighthouse. It was built in 1894 stands 205 ft. high and on the 1000 ft. Heceta Head.
Ceresa, Cole and I took the tour of the lighthouse, couldn't get Steve to climb the staircase. I think it might have something to do with being afraid of heights.
Or maybe he just wanted to spend some time with his grandson Kalib.
The day has been great, can't wait to see what tomorrow bring.

It look wonderful there sis, I wish we could do a trip like that together. You need to come this way..we have a wonderful lighthouste in Savannah and it's a fun city to visit. How about next spring? Just you and I could go there and spend a long weekend. I'm here in Ohio with little Charlotte and she is a beauty, I'm sure you've seen the pics on Laura's blog. I haven't blogged about her yet cause we couldn't get any of my pics to work on their computer. I'll head home on Thursday or Friday and sit down and take care of business. Can't wait to talk with you, I've missed our daily talks. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
I loved seeing Oregon a few years ago when we did that reunion (course the company was fun too) and have told Rick several times that I want to vacation there with him next time, but he is such a home-body I don't know if I will get him there. So excited that you guys went. You so deserved (both of you) this much needed trip. What a beautiful place on earth that is. Good for you!
