There are certain sounds, sights, and other things that let you know that summer has arrived. Summer has to be my most favorite season of the year.
I love the sound of Rainbirds watering the lawns,
warm evening temperature,
little ones picking dandelion's,
wind chimes blowing in the breeze,
an ice cold glass of sun tea,
the sound of the dust cropper flying over head early in the morning,
yard work to be done,
the sweet smell of flowers,
and Addy lying in the cool of the grass!

I forgot about rainbirds. We don't have sprinklers on the East coast...no need for them with all the rain we get. My mom loves the sound of rainbirds too.
Summer is such a great time..
SO many amazing things take shape under the beautiful sun. Your pictures are beautiful...
Ah Sis, you're making me homesick for a Utah summer. Can I come and sit in your Gazebo and just listen to a rainbird? Georgia summers are too hot, but their springs and falls are to die for. I also miss Utah grass, there is no where else with grass like Utah....go barefoot in it one of these days and you'll know what I mean.
No mom, she won't know what you mean until she walks barefoot through Georgia grass and then walks barefoot in Utah grass. You don't realize how amazing it is until you experience all the other stuff they call grass outside of Utah.
