Sometimes life can really throw you some unexpected curves, and knock the wind right out of you. Life as you know has been turned upside down. As I wrote in an earlier blog I was diagnosed with cancer back in Sept. 07, just finished my last chemo treatment Feb. 4., and will go back in for a check-up in 3 months. No guarantee that the cancer won't return. Now you wonder when life will get back to being normal again, and then you realize that what you are going through this moment is normal for the time being. Now you have to come to grips with it. For the last few weeks I have lived with this constant fear that the cancer is going to come back. It's like your waiting for the rug to be pulled out from underneath you. And at just this point the Lord seem to start moving in my life. He send the right persons at just the right time, or reminds me of a bible verse to get me through. And I'm not real sure maybe sometimes He uses a line from a movie. This last week I've been reminded about a line from the movie "Shawshank Redemption" I can either get busy living or get busy dying! And the choice I've made is to get busy living. I am going to enjoy and love the life I have. There are no guarantees this moment is all I have right now. And that in itself is enough for me.

Sis, isn't it wonderful that you've been given a new outlook on life. I know you will do wonderful things. I love you so much.
Mom, we're sure uncertain about the situation but in all things comes blessings. With this, you've found a new outlook on life and know just how important every minute is. You've not only learned this, but have also taught that to each of us. I know for myself, I catch me saying that phrase quite often anymore too. So all of us together will get busy livin with you!
