Humor Attitude

I came from a family with a great sense of humor, and for this I am forever grateful. I was diagnosed with Cancer back in September 2007, and have come to realize how important faith, humor and attitude are to fighting this disease. I had surgery in September and have had aggressive chemotherapy treatments for the last several months. Like many others who have gone through chemotherapy. I have lost all my hair and am as bald as a cue ball. Losing my hair didn’t bother me as much as the thought of losing my eyelashes and eyebrows. With my hair I’ve been able to wear scarf and wigs. Well it has happened I have only a few lashes left, and scarcely any brows. So I have been forced to drawing on my brows and eyeliner for the lash look.
During my last chemo treatment, my daughter and I were talking (she was sitting across from me). When I just happened to wipe my brow, you should have seen the look of horror come over her face when my brow disappered. We both got laughing so hard and realize the only way to rectify the situation was for me to wipe off the other brow.

The chemo has seem to be working, and tomorrow is my last treatment. Horray! God is keeping me in His loving care, and will see me through this. My husband and children have been my support and strength. My two sisters called me almost daily keeping my spirits up and me laughing.
Life is good!
